Educational DESIGN professionals offer a wide range of consulting services to educators, school architects and facility planners. Examples of our services vary from traditional educational specification reports & school site and space planning to seminars/workshops (picture from 2003 Coalition of Essential Schools Conference) in a variety of progressive educational areas. Areas of our workshop expertise include help with information on educational leadership, teacher collaboration and interdisciplinary curricular development approaches. We are actively looking at current trends and practices within public and private schools and how well planned, designed and built school buildings can enhance curriculum delivery and student learning.
We feel strongly that a successful school design involves collaborative space programming that includes input from students, community stakeholders (including parents of students), teachers, school administration as well as school staff in order for the solution and layout to be lasting and effective.
We see each district or school site committee that is considering some form of improvement for building or school culture as an opportunity for seamless integration and optimization of the function of teaching & learning within a thoughtful physical form.
